Terms of membership
These terms govern your membership in Only Dad's (the "club"). By joining, you agree to them.
1. Membership
Only Dad's is a membership club for fathers, based in Sudbury, Ontario. Membership gives access to monthly in-person sessions, the private member forum, the tool library and bench list, and member events. Membership is personal and cannot be transferred or shared.
2. Fees and renewal
- Member — $12.00 CAD per month.
- Founding Member — $120.00 CAD per year, with the annual price held for as long as the membership stays active.
All prices are in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes. Memberships renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. Payment is collected by Stripe; your card is charged on the same date each period.
3. Cancelling
You may cancel at any time from the customer portal linked in your receipt — no phone call, no retention offer. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide partial-period refunds, except where required by law.
4. If a payment fails
We will retry a failed payment and email you. If payment is not resolved within 14 days, the membership may be suspended until the account is brought current.
5. Conduct
Members are expected to follow the Code of conduct. We may end a membership for serious or repeated breaches. Where a membership is ended for cause, any refund is at our discretion.
6. Events and risk
Sessions take place on our Discord server. Events — dinners, family days and the founding dinner — are held in person in Sudbury. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own conduct.
Where the club lends tools or equipment, you use them at your own risk and are responsible for returning them in the condition you received them.
We are not responsible for the conduct of other members, or for loss arising from your use of the server or your attendance at an event.
7. Merchandise
Club merchandise is sold separately and is subject to availability. Sizing and colour may vary slightly between runs.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to active members at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued membership after that date means you accept the updated terms.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected to your membership is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other applicable Ontario law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.
